I baught this cluster dials http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=110524849636

I was told that my tacho will be out if i replace the originals out of my crx, as the tacho only went up to 8k and this one to 9k...

The package came with little black box that it gets hooked up to...

The tacho is controlled by ECU, does it need recalibrating??

You can't recalibrate it, if your CRX is an aus spec then when you're at around 4k, it's going to indicate 5k on that dial.

Basically all you're doing is pealing off the RPM numbers, and making them higher, so yes they're going to be wrong. If you have a 90-91 CRX, then you could purchase a EF8 speedo cluster (which is the model with the b16 engine) which is designed to move between 0-9k rpm.
