    I've seen a few DB8 around never seen a DB8R though....assuming they are all import ?

    Unfortunately you can't import DB8R unless you own the car more than a year while oversea or for racing purpose only. Same thing with EK9.
    Anyone know if this is still the case with both the DB8R and EK9. Can remember reading something about them being 15 years old now and able to be imported.

    If you don't bring it in through personal import (owning the car overseas for at least a year), it's either got to be:
    a) on the Register of Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicles or
    b) manufactured before 1 January 1989 http://www.raws.com.au/ImportSchemes.asp

    Have a look at the second link, the 15 year rule was amended in 2005.

    I wonder why they decided to add EP3R to that list and not EK9.

    We never got the EP chassis... only the EU.

    We did get the EK chassis, so no EK9
