    Diy - Ek9 Grill

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

    Aim
hey i thought i make my own EK9 grill instead of getting a aftermarket one just for the fun of DIY.

NOTE: for tips regarding sanding and preping, please read claymore's detailed DIY in the ozhonda section.

    Tool
    + OEM grill
    + Knife/Blade
    + blow torch (optional)
    + Masking Tape
    + Wet n Dry sandpaper 1000,1500,2000
    + Paint and Primer
    + Mesh
+ Liquidnail or screw with bracket

    Step
1/ Get your grill and cut out the centre plastic bits. Use a blow torch to melt the plastic if its too hard to cut. Then use sandpaper to smooth off the edges that you've cut and it should look something like this

2/ get your grill ready. use sandpaper (from 1000 to 15000 then 2000) to rub your grill till its nice and smooth. the paint will actually start to come off. NOTE: if you want tips and trick regarding sandpapering, please read Claymore's DIY on sandpaper in the Ozhonda DIY section

3/tape off the section which you dont wish to paint over. i decided to leave the black bits unpainted, look more OEM.

4/prime your grill evenly and let it dry naturally. beware of dust particles that gets on it, you might need to sand it back down again and try again.

5/once primer is dry, spray your coloured paint. give it 3 layers atleast. let it dry between layers ofcourse. once again becareful of dust particles when paiting.

6/and finally clear coat, and some cutting compound, polish and wax. take off your tape and should have something similiar to this.

7/ with the mesh you could either secure it using brackets and nails, but i didnt have a drill so i decide to stick the top with liquidnail. you would need to measure the gap and cut the mesh into the desired size. unfortunately i dont have photo of these steps but if you have questions feel free to ask me. its quiet simple really.

now for the final finished product on the car.

    EDIT
