Smile [DIY] Installing Electric Spoon Style Mirrors!!

Hey, im 15, a noob and this is my first DIY so be kind to me

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

Aim: To get rid of the stock mirrors and install electric spoon style mirrors.

    Required:
    • Pair of Electric Spoon style mirrors
    • Electrical tape
    • Phillips screwdriver
    • Flat-head screwdriver
    • 8mm spanner/socket

    DRIVERS SIDE

    Step 1:
Remove the screw behind the door latch

    Step 2:
Remove the screw inside the door handle

    Step 3:
Unclip the connection from the power window controls

    Step 4:
Remove the black plastic screw from the inner of the door panel

    Step 5:
Get a flat-head screw driver and slide it under the door panel and pull it towards you to unclip the door panel. Repeat in all different areas until all are unclipped

    Step 6:
Once then lift the door panel out by sliding it towards the right

    Step 7:
Then use the flat-head screwdriver again to unclip the black triangular panel thing

    Step 8:
Grab the 4 wires (blue, white, black and red) that came with the spoon style mirrors and cut the ends (the red wire doesn't need to be used)

    Step 9:
Then splice the 3 original wires (yellow with white stripe, yellow with red stripe, yellow with black stripe) as so

    Step 10:
Connect the black wire to the yellow with white stripe wire

    Step 11:
Connect the blue wire to the yellow with red stripe wire

    Step 12:
Connect the white wire to the yellow with black stripe wire

    Step 13:
Then take the 8mm socket and unscrew the 3 bolts that are holding the original mirror, like so

    Step 14:
Then push the white clips, the top and bottom till the mirror comes off

    Step 15:
Then take the rubber off the original mirror and place it onto the spoon style mirror

    Step 16:
Now put the spoon style mirror on, and take 3 screws to hold it together

    Step 17:
Now cover all the connections that you have made with electrical tape, and also i used some plastic that you use for your subwoofer to cover all of it together (optional)

    Step 18:
Now connect the connection and replace the triangular plastic panel

    Step 19:
Now replace the door panel by repeating steps 1-5 in reverse

    PASSENGER SIDE

    Step 20:
Now do the exact same till it comes to the wiring

    Step 21:
Connect the white wire to the yellow with white stripe wire

    Step 22:
Connect the blue wire to the blue with black stripe wire

    Step 23:
Connect the black wire to the blue with white stripe

    Step 24:
    Admire your work

If you have any questions, just ask me.

    Thanks Nick
