    eg rear view mirror fell off

    hey guys my rear view mirror fell off on my eg hatch
    i dont know how to put it back on
    the metal bit that sticks to the window is still stuck to the windscreen but i dont know how to put the other bit back on
    i tried unscrewing the screw but it doesnt budge
    any help appreciated!

    LOL! sorry I laughed so hard when I read that!
    Not too sure on the solution, are there any backscrew/clips attached? I'm pretty sure last time I checked there was a screw on the back of the bit attached to the windscreen..
    If you can fit a drill to try n unscrew it out if its a bit stuck, might be a bit easier to unscrew it, then remount it unless the bit thats come off snapped

    yeah thats what im thinking. but i dont have a drill and ive already rounded the star
    ive got another mirror now and i dont wanna round that one either

    Unscrew the screw a little only- enough so there's a small gap.
    Then slide it on the metal piece on your windscreen and it should slide between that gap.
    If it still feels loose then you've backed off the screw too much.
    Trial n error but you will know when it clips in correctly- makes a click sound, and its mounted quite firm.
