They probably do something... but the best thing to get your times down at the track is actual seat time.

Should've gone for a full under body diffuser if you want to see a noticeable difference in grip/downforce/track times. Canards don't do that much in terms of angle of attack and their main purpose is to re-direct airflow/ create a seal for the diffuser.

Im planning to do the front ply wood splitter

Plywood then painted with resin would be fine

you could put some fibre sheet if you feel it needs more rigidity

Tape up the ply and use it for a mould, fibreglass over it in a few layer then separate the 2 for a fibreglass diffuser.
