    Question knocking sound

Hey, ever since me and a few mates went through the hills for some fun, i have heard a knocking sound when braking and sometimes downshifting, e.g. 4th to 3rd. I noticed it the day after, im not sure what it is and its a bit hard to look in the engine bay while driving. Has anyone else had this problem and if you have had this what was it and how was it fixed.
    I doubt this helps but i have a ej8 with a D16Y8
Any posts very appreciated and thank you in advance.

Could be your rear engine mount, it'll be hard to try and spot that one for any damages.

if it's an engine mount you will get your knocking most prevalently when engaging/disengaging the clutch
    - not removed by choice! - waiting for the next update to the saga

then it isn't an engine mount, it only makes it when slowing down... my dad says it could possibly be the sway bar as the rubber things weren't in too gooda condition. (i know this as my mechanic said so)

ok well after having it for 6 month i finally found out what this noise was... had my car serviced today and when i went to pick it up he told me the knocking sound is from my front wheel and not an engine mount and that bridgestone checked and serviced my wheels 4 weeks ago.

my mechanic noticed it while he took it for a drive so he was gonna check the bearings etc etc and he went to take it off when he noticed the whole f*cking wheel was loose.

So guess what f*ck bridgestone never going back, they've lost me
