Jazz GLI, need to replace tyres, which brand is the best?

    Hi,
I want to replace 4 tyres on my jazz gli.
    I think it is using 175/65 R14.
I live in Melbourne, with lots of rain lately, I think I need a good one in wet condition.

I saw on bobjane catalog for bridgestone AR10 for $109, is it a good tyre?

    Thanks.

that depends on what you wana spend.

i love Bridgeston G3's... but they aren't cheap.

EVERYONE is selling Achilles ATRs ATM, and i've got 205/40 17's on my VTiS ATM. they are good, in the dry, a little scetchy in the wet, but not as bad as i thought, considereing they cost me $120 a corner, (or something like that)

i have 195/50 15 Brig. Adrenlines on a set on enkei's in the shed. SUPPOSEDLY the replacement for the G3's, but they're not as good. slightly Better turn in, slightly less grip. better in te wet then the ATR's. $165 a corner.

I was running 195/55 15 G3's orginally, and they was awesome. Odd Size = $250-$270 a corner, IF you can find a set. That said, VTiS runs 185/55's and that's even harder to find @ a good price...

195/50 is slightly smaller roling diam. speedo @ 100 is of by about 2kmph

    thanks for the info SS....

I am trying to spend a max of $400 for 4 tyres.
I just found out that Kmart Tyre got them for $90 each for bridgestone AR10, free fitting + balancing + disposal old tyres.

    The question now:
    - is Bridgestone AR10 considered a good tyre?
    - is Kmart Tyre (in Westfield Doncaster) a reliable place to get my tyre?

    Thanks.

From what I've read and see around the place the AR10 is a good budget tire. It seems to perform quite well in the wet.

Just do a quick google search and read up on some peoples first hand accounts.

Here is a review I found when they were released: http://www.zerotohundred.com/2008/au...10-test-drive/

my only experience is with the Potenza RE040 that comes stock with the Vti-S Jazz. its a 15" so it may not fit your current rims.
around 65k kms, It was time to change. I bought the same set of tires. it set me back around 700-750.
it was a good tire, used to drive freeway everyday.
