A few weeks a go I posted some news about workers in Chinese Honda plants striking. It seems that workers have returned to work albeit with less than what they demanded.
Wage negotiations between workers and managers at a Honda auto parts factory here ended on Friday night with the company’s final offer of a pay increase that was substantially less than employees had been seeking, a worker involved in the discussions said.

Friday’s final offer, the worker said, was an increase of about $44 a month in wages and benefits, less than half what the workers had been seeking when they walked off the job. Workers at the factory currently earn a base salary of $117 plus a housing allowance and bonuses.

On the topic of strikes, looks like Toyota is the next auto manufacturer to be hit by a labour revolt.

Toyota Motor halted production at a car factory in China on Tuesday for the second time this month after workers at a supplier staged a walkout. The supplier, an auto parts manufacturer in southern China that makes sensors and electronic control parts, has stopped shipping parts to Toyota since workers started striking on Monday, demanding higher pay, said Ririko Takeuchi, a Toyota spokeswoman in Tokyo.

Pricing for the US market has been released for the all new CR-Z, which is due in August 2010. The all-new 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid coupe is set to debut at dealers on August 24, 2010, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $19,200, plus a destination and handling charge of $750.

The 2011 Accord has got a few styling tweaks as well as improved fuel economy according to Honda America. Wonder if these changes will be passed on to the AUS version. "For 2011, the Accord evolves again with sharpened styling inside and out, fuel economy gains and a broader application of popular features," said Erik Berkman, vice president of Corporate Planning and Logistics for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "The Accord is designed to deliver a consistently rewarding ownership experience in the areas that matter most to sedan and coupe drivers."
