Pardon my ignorance, but the jazz comes with a trip computer right? or are most of your estimates manual calculations? im thinkin of buying a jazz, and the figures do look very good

It has a simple computer -- hit the button to cycle through total distance, current trip distance (reset by holding button), and l/100km for the current trip. No instantaneous reading.

got a jazz 1.3 cvt. done 500 kms. I am getting around 6.8 right now. Though i personally still like to divide kms/litre manually the old way hehe....i think that is much more accurate and i am use to measuring that way...

    Fuel Consumption

I keep a rigid log of my fuel consumption 2003 vti auto.
The fuel tank is under the front seat and holds 42 litres. The filler pipe from the rear holds 3 litres, so if you fill to the neck of the fuel cap the total is 45 litres.
Fuel consumption varies with driving style, air con on/off and heat of the day.
My best city mileage is 6.5lt/100. No aircon, little ol'lady style
My worst is 7.1/100 with aircon on, normal drive in traffic. All on 92RON fuel. Tried 96RON little change. On 98RON 6.3lt/100, but BP is the only petrol guaranteed to be 98 and is usually more expensive.
Country cruising 5.2lt/100km ave speed 100km/hr.
    My overall average is 6.75lt/100km.
I run Nulon full synthetic oil

Been as low as 4.3-4.5/100km with makor granny shifting on my l15 manual. Get about 700 a tank for that. But i rarely drive granny style and get no more than 7 with thrashing and about 550-600km/100.

Ha, I've started doing that too. Have you noticed a difference between what the trip meter says and actual fuel consumption (ie, trip km / litres used)? I find the trip meter is optimistic by about 5%.

Granted, I've only had my Jazz for 3 weeks, but still...
