where to cut keys & reprogram remote for euro in Perth?

    Hi

I need help to cut a spare key and reprogram the remote for a decent price.

Got quoted about $280 for key & remote + $60 reprogram by the honda dealer.

    It's for a CU2.

    Any good recommendations?

300 is the standard price for a Jazz recut/program.

Price sounds about what I paid for my Jazz Spare key. I think the dealer might be the only choice

I managed to get a key online. Remote works fine. I need to cut the key later.
Anyone knows if I need to reprogram the transponder chip on the key for the immobilizer?

Try those key joints in shopping centers. They reprogram other keys and garage door buzzers.

I believe you need to reprograme the immobiliser.

One way to confirm is to open up both the new key and your old key and swap the chips. Try to start the car with the new transponder and old key. I beleive the key will turn but no ignition will occur.

I tried swapping the chips. car starts then cuts off. immobilizer did not recognize the chip.
I guess the immobilizer chip needs to be programmed.

key joints in shopping centers & bunnings cannot cut the blank key I bought on dealextreme for $8 inc. free shipping

I will try specialized locksmiths & ask the dealer.

Some locksmith websites say they just need to read the frequency code on the working remote & use that to program the new remote.
Hopefully it's that simple & no need to reprogram the immobilizer.

If you are in the city, try this guy

I got him to cut the key for my Odyssey when I was toying with the flip key mod. It worked well and manged to open my car doors and ignition, plus I think he only charged my $10~$15

    lol, the link is correct..

The guy obviously doesn't do remote re-programing, but he does cut keys.
