I've had an EK1 with B18C conversion and SiR JDM/EK9 conversion interior and some exterior parts. and now EP3, Both cars are good.

more torque on the EP3, therefore easier to drive. And I thought I wouldnt mod the EP3 but after owning it for nearly 2 years, leaving it stock is just not gonna happen LOL

there are couple of options for front lip, but not too many. C/F hood, wing, grille, C/F doors and hatch. mostly are made by Mugen, J's and walker. however, there are abundant parts for the engine and handling.

Defiantly get an EP3 Best car I've ever owned wish I still had it. But at then end of the day you will be driving it. I had a few mods on mine with added up very quickly. I reckon there are plenty more EK's out there than EP3's

i see a ek everywhere, the jazz is the new ek. ep3 is worth the money, youve got everything neatly packed into the car. wont be as many mods as a dc5r but there are interchangeable items anyways, if your after cosmetics - mugen and j's racing are the main options same, unless you troll in the us forums and have a look at what they got to offer which is pretty cheap stuff too. performance parts its there but stock its pretty damn good to drive already.

they're both hatches with good amounts of room,
for someone of my age not a great deal difference in insurance,
fuel is ok in both (considering if you did up an ek1 to have an ITR motor or turboed it),
    good visibility in both

not having too much expirence with the costs of panel repair to an ep3r is something to think about, where would you get fenders, lights, hood and what not if you had a crash, could be a factor perhaps?

the ep3r has a newer generation motor, a little bit more future proof and has a timing chain, a fact I wish the b/d engines had

both cars share many good swap and change bits mechanically as other models of similar genetics

just a choice of preference not one is better than the other on paper

but if under 25 I'd be inclined at the ek option as living costs are dear enough in other aspects lol

    I love J-Cups
