    shift boot for fd2

    Hi guys,
I need a new shift boot for my 06 fd2 as it is beginning to split.
Saw this from a UK seller. It says for a civic 2006-2008 si but it should fit shouldn't it?

If it is for the Civic Si's which are in the US, then the shift boot would be for a left hand drive car as you can see the silver shift boot panel will be opposite to our right hand drive ones.
If I remember correctly the holes on the plastic ring at the bottom of the boot are not equally spaced around in a circular pattern so the boot can only be attached to the silver panel one way.
Have you tried looking for other boots for right hand drive FDs? Try asking your Honda dealer if you can't find one online.

    Hope this helps.

thanks Noodulz, Honda wants $70 for one.
The add says it is just the boot and no connectors.
Haven't taken mine out but is it easy enough to connect up and use the original ring?

It seems the leather is just held onto the plastic ring by a few staples around the edge so if you do get the boot from the UK, you could use the original ring.

fark that, u can take the actual 'leather' bit off from the plastic collar at the bottom.

or you could ask a friend to try stitch one together for u...

Lol I think ask around the cloths alteration shops and ask if thy could sew one together for you, but I think most eBay sellers are from china so the should have most things in stock, ask the seller to send u some photos.
