it all depends how hardcore you can go ,

but for me sussy first so coilovers , swaybars , strut bracing all over
a decent set of track rims , with good tyres
a racing seat to hold you in

and the engine B series atleast , I/H/E to give u abit fo grunt and oil cooler , baffled oil sump and gauges for temp and oil temp.
    BRAKE UPGRADE !!! good pads

thats a pretty good setup imo , like pretty much very good lol if u baller roll cage it

    General principles

    You need more of this:
Brakes - better discs, pads, fluid, braided lines etc.
Tyres - preferably a separate set of track rims and slicks.
Skills - probably the most important thing and as they say, practice makes perfect.
Balance and handling: suspension upgrade, upgraded sway bars etc.
    Power.

    Less of this:
    Weight

Depending on the base car, it might cost you a little or a lot to get on (and off!) the track without drama.

For example, if you already have an Integra R, then all you'll probably need are better brake pads and fluid, and maybe a set of track rims and you set for a track day.

If you have an auto Civic CXI, you'll need an appointment with your bank manager

A cxi can go round the track... just not as quick, yes you'll have to spend a wee bit more money..
but to go round safely brake upgrade, fluid, good tires and practice..

im in the same boat, im trying to set my (cxi) up to track but i have got a B18C7 in there, im now doing brake upgrade, rear strut tower brace and some track tires.. ( so i dont chew out my every day tires) im gunna be doing a few track days a year so im adding the price of fluids, pads and fuel to the price of entry to the event..

LSD is a must have for track, otherwise it is very hard to put that power down and have good traction without spinning your wheels

first thing is a set of semi's. Then you'll figure out from car feedback what need's to be changed.

I'm going to track on the 31st at Wakefield park open day and can everyone share how they track their lap times?
I'm looking for a cheap method, any good apps for iPhones? Or using a gps receiver? Thanks

Watch youtube clips. The bad thing about open day is that noone can sit in passenger with you. Take it easy, learn the line and slowly build speed as you do every lap. Learn the car, check tyre pressure (around 38-40psi hot for street tyres) and change dampers to suit

If you do anywhere around the 1:15's, its a decent start for a first timer at Wakefield Park
