How to distiguish between Type S and luxury model

    Hi all
I am in the market to purchase a Type S. during my search I found some of the integra luxury model on the market has a Type S badge on the front grill and the rear. from my understand ,

    Type S has follow:
rear boot lip, type S badge, 5 spokes 17"

    Luxury:
no rear boot lip, no Type s badge , 8 spokes wheels

however, I have been seeing a few luxury model with type S badge on it. is there a way to tell if it is really a type S by looking ant engine number etc? if there is only one like this then I know some one is just putting a badge on luxury , but there are a few.

type S come stock with the 5 spoke wheels and im pretty sure the luxury has a K20a an (A3 i believe)engine where as the integra type S has a K20Z

and the type S has a metal intake manifold where as the luxury model has plastic you will notice that as soon as the bonnet is poped.....

What if they raise the price or list it similar to the type S?

    And they changed the gearknob?

    Mate, are you serious??

If you are dumb enough to not drive the car prior to buying (let alone driving and looking at a few) THEN the buyer deserves to be ripped off......

Gear knob does not change the fact that when you drive a car, it goes into 6 (SIX) gears!

What if you don't get up to the speed of 6 gears required.

u guys do realise that when driving a car, for this instance a type s with 6 gears u can easily go through the whole gear range to test all the gears for smoothness, problems etc. Even cruising along at 60km/ph u can test all ur gears. Go from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 6 to make sure everything is ok and no notching problems or hard to get into gear problems BUT OFCROUSE u wouldnt drive around sydney roads at 60km/ph in 6th gear but u can easily select whateva gear u want. U guys get me ?
