issue solved ! : how to bypass the handbrake safety for video

    WARNING:
    OFFROAD USE ONLY!!
IT IS ILLEGAL AND DANGEROUS FOR THE DRIVER TO VIEW VIDEO WHILE DRIVING, THIS IS INTENDED FOR SHOW USE AND OFFROAD USE ONLY.

Hi guys, I am having issues bypassing the handbrake safety system on a new headunit i purchased for my unregistered vehicle (because many of us on here have unregistered vehicles, show cars and race cars that we want to do this on..... )

It is a singledin pioneer 8200/8250/BT model with 3" screen
the green wire that comes out of the pioneer harness is supposed to go to the handbrake. i have grounded that wire with the black wire that comes out of the pioneer harness.

It still does not work.. a friend mentioned that some new units these days need a double tap on grounding before it works..

    Anyone have any ideas ?

from what ive heard u either ground that wire directly to metal or connect it to 12v power like the cigarette lighter. ive also heard u might need to put the earth on a switch as some newer headunits require the earth to be activated after the hu is on

i did some more research.. newer head units need the handbrake wire to be grounded after the head unit turns on !

it seems like the bypass kits are some sort of relay's with a few wires.. i cbf making up a relay system, so might have to just buy one in haha.

thanks for the help guys ! +1 to both of you's

i dont want the hassles of a switch. and also ugly interior lol bought hte bypass kit already fella's

stig: i already grounded the cable, but if u read, the newer headunits need the ground to be connected AFTER the headunit is turned on. if its constantly grounded, it will not work...
