    Import D15 compared to D16y4 Motor

    Hi today i was getting new engine and they tried selling me a d15 import motor not sure wich exact d15 it was but he rekns even tho u loose .1ltr off the capacity he rekns there a betta motor
    can any 1 give me some insite on this thank you

    correct, its good motor, if u get the right one, with correct tranny, with LSD, win win situation, though since ur in melb, u cannot replace ur current gen D16y with D15b because simply its a older motor, but i heard there was a loop hole, not sure though

    SOHC VTEC D15B is the same power (give or take a pony or two) as a D16Y1 and a Y8 SOHC VTECS !! should have a black Valve cover also..

    i would love a JDM D15 vtec LSD ... that would be good fun =D

    how much did he want for it?

    also remember u cant put an engine in ur car thats older than the build date of the car

    well i picked up a low k's d16y4 to replace 1 thats in the ek that was 595 and got all new parts for it aswell water pump etc.... think he wanted round the same price for the d15 but wasnt sure if it was vtec or not ill ask 2mmorow how much an wats actuall model if there d15b

    holy crap thats cheap - over here in WA we would pay well over 1k$ for a D-series =/

    if its a D15b Vtec with manual LSD than it would be a fun little engine =D

    manual LSD d15 vtec has to be better than manual no LSD d15 lol

    auto is fail also =/

    yeap, lol, an having a lsd, is a better than no lsd, an plus, u can say to all em b16 owners, "atleast i have a lsd, muhahahahaha"

    D15 with LSD would be kinda cool haha. I with my B16A came with the optional LSD
