    oil 5w40

    Hi Guys sorry for the nooby question but my supplier for redline oil ran out of 10w40 engine oil what do you guys reckon i should go for 5w40 or 10w30 my s2ks on 60,000ks ??

    how long will it be before he gets more in stock? i suggest waiting although if you cant, i would suggest going with the 5w40 reason being your viscosity is the same at running tempreture as if you deside to run a 10w30 yes you will have the same viscosity, at start up although i feel your viscosity should be the same at running tempreture to which you had first used it. You dont HAVE to, but im kind of padantic about oils and feel that protection is needed when your actually driving the car and components need to be lubed not so much when standing still, thats my 2 cents.

    Also while we're on the topic I have done some research on s2ki and have come to the conclusion that I want to change to Redline synthetic oil 10w30 although I'm curious what oil filter I should use and if whether the OEM is ok or should I got for an aftermarket oil filter? Can someone help out with where to buy oil filters WITHIN AUS... sick of this OS eBay shit

    I'm using 10w30, and it was better than whatever was in it previously.. I use HAMP filters.

    Genuine Honda FEO Engine Oil best bet.. made most power on dyno according to some people too..
