GReddy Ti-C VS HKS Hi Power

Hi guys, i am seriously pulling out my own hair with trying to make a decision with an exhaust. I'll take this time to tell you the likes/dislikes of each exhaust and basically what im going to use it for.

My S is used a fair bit and i would like an exhaust that is on the "quieter" side down low in the rpm for normal every day driving, although when i get into the RPM's i would like for it to really open up and give me a nice tone. I do not like the sound of Single's as i find they have that weird sound when you deacellerating which kind of makes the car sound ricer and i want to avoid this at all costs.

The two exhaust that are in question are the HKS Hi Power and the GReddy Racing Ti-C (Both Being a cat back dual system)

I always had my heart set on the HKS Hi Power exhaust and i have read up and heard that the exhaust provides no performance gains whatsoever as apposed to the GReddy where people have said they feel a bit more 'uumph' in the car and both provide better throttle response. I have actually heard the HKS in the flesh and it sounds perfect to how i want it and have yet to hear the GReddy so i cannot get a good understanding just from watching youtube videos. They are both made of SUS304 stainless steel although the GReddy has a titanium heat treated tip. I am not sure of the weight difference although its good to know they are lighter then stock and dont care about a lbs here or there.

The videos below are probably the clearest and probably the best quality that i found around on youtube so you guys can get an idea.

The exhaust sound i am trying to avoid that i mentioned earlier is Spoon Sports N1 Muffler which can be heard at 2:18 in this video and again at 4:45 with the Power House Amuse R-1000 Titan.

Please also do not try and convince me into other systems like tanabe or fujitsubo as this will just create more confusion, although any constructive input is welcome and please leave your vote in the poll.

    Thanks for taking the time

^^^that link is amazing especially when I see the arguments about power loss of the HKS. some say it's a myth and there is no dyno recordings presented to prove it losses power and as I said that I drive the car a fair bit I am going to try and source a HKS. I still love the GReddy although I fear because of peoples complaints about drone and how loud it is, That it will sound like a cheap exhaust on a integra or prelude. The supplier who I am going to grab the HKS from does not have a listing but can source one but tells me it will be a little more expensive then the GReddy. Thanks heaps for the link I think it has settled the score although still looking forward to other peoples input.

Out of curiosity vyets do u know anyone in Melbourne who has the GReddy installed and willing to take me for a quick drive around the block? I know it's a big ask but would atleqst like to give it the chance to hear it in the flesh like how I have the HKS

Nop but I know someone with HKS.

It's quiet and sounds like stock.

Yeah I've been in contact with him and it's been like 3weeks for him to receive the exhaust from his Queensland supplier. I asked that he receive it and I'll pay cash when he has it

NO his just some guy selling the hks exhaust I saw on ebay.

My mate used to have a HKS exhaust but sold it off because it was too quiet.

I also know someone who has one right now as well on his s2000.

Oh ok and how long did u have it for?

It's a small world seeing as I didn't even meet him on here but in person at the BP servo on keilor park drive about year and a half ago. Since that day when e first revved it I fell in love with it but then I heard about the GReddy Ti-C and it threw me out but have made my decision as I believe I want the exhaust for spun not just looks. I sure the GReddy still sounds amazing although the HKS is more suited for the type of driving I do and the frequency I use the car

I didn't have it on my car I met someone selling it and I asked if he wanted so I got it for him.

Also take into consideration that Justin has a HKS header too which would make the exhaust a little louder, so if your running a stock header the exhaust will be much more quieter.
