    Get some waterproof LED strips off ebay. From memory I think you; Ground the negative wire to chassis or bare metal. Connect the positive wire to the positive end of the battery. Probably reccommend installing an in-line fuse somewhere in the positive wire. Also don't forget the switch.

    [-] BATTERY [+]<------------------------->(fuse)<--------->(on/off switch)<----------->[+] LED [-]<----------->(grounding point)
