For any Forced induction or Built NA motor, hondata is the way to go! But for any 'light' build with bolt-ons, a piggyback is more than enough. Even when my car was completely stock with just my haltech I had heaps more torque and power. Just my 2c, only talking from what I know and have done.
Hondata is designed for light builds, Hondata themselves market it as designed for bolt-on and mild mods. comptech S/C kit gets a different hondata tune Iirc than the normal reflash
Advantage of Hondata is that it lowers VTEC engagement AND changes drive by wire settings, at all throttle levels, which makes it more comprehensive than a piggyback.
Sorry, I meant Hondata k-pro, not the reflash for bigger builds.
I personally don't like how the reflash is preset and isn't really tuning. It's a one size fits all solution. Im not sure you can go back and 'fine tune' a reflash.
haha lol keen on getting an ecu, thought this thread may have made it clear what to get, am even more confused now, have never seen so many meaningless numbers and letters.. i guess ill just put it off and do other stuff haha
