Recently bought a fd which had hid in them, just notice that the passenger side hid shuts down after a while of driving. A quick on and off and the hid slowly brights up again and works fine but not too long it shuts down again. I've read that I may need a relay hardness, but I have also read that the 8th gens don't need it. It's dark now, so I can't actually see if there's a relay harness or not, but I think there's none, will double check tomorrow. Meanwhile if someone has experienced the same problem and knows a quick way to fix this let me know.
