    REVIEW: Comptech IceBox Install (DC2)

As the tittle reads I finally desided to get the Comptech IceBox over the Mugen for several reasons which I won’t go into here. Big thumbs to Hondar for suppling the goods super fast a dam good price! (And no he didn’t pay me to say that!)

Pics: Firstly the old intake that I had in there comes out and then installs the supplied aluminium brackets that screwed into the original stock box holes to hold the new box. Then we go down under the car to bolt a bracket on with the toe hook, which is there to hold the intake nice and snug up under the guard in front of the drivers side wheel. The next pic is just of the box before I put in the intake piping, then the finished product! If any one wants any more pics of it just PM me.

Review on Installing: Very well designed unit every part fit perfect without any problems, all parts where very well made. And the unit was very easy to install I was say it took me about an hour in total but that is with out removing the old box.

Review on Performance: The throttle is much more responsive and the acceleration is alot smoother all the way thought the rev range! Not as loud as many other intakes but she still screams in vtec! I was so overall the gains are noticeable!

Anyways it’s late while im typing this so ill leave it at that and please ask if you have any questions!

    Cheers
    Mark

Yeah its bout the same sound prob a bit quietier but not by much, performance i would say the deff some gains not sure how much but deff! But main defferance is how much smoother the power band is and the throttle response!
