And Steve, good luck with 50mm drop on the RB3!
I'm going to be pushing things with a 35mm drop on our typical Brisbane drive way gutters!
I'm training myself on them at standard height first - haha

What did you do with the intake bit that was attached to the engine cover? Just cut it off?

I'll be fitting my head unit in the same place in my RB3, and my amps will also be going under the seats like your JL slash amps do.

So, did you change out the RSR springs for the Tein set up, or are they Tein shocks and RSR springs?

I'm really keen on lowering my car but didn't want to go too low (maybe 30-40mm) and I didn't want to lose the comfort.
The RSR springs come recommended by others here. I'd be keen to know your thoughts in more detail compared to the factory set up.
And with a 50mm drop, do you get many scrapes?

    Cheers,
    Steve
Steve thanks the systems still go abit to go before its completed.. jus a matter of time and mainly $$..
u've got quite a good setup.. lookin forward to seeing ur's completed..
i had RSR height adjustable coilovers with F8k R6k spring rate before the Teins.. the RSR's were great if ur after looks and comfort..
it was more responsive compared to factory but due to it not being damper adjustable it was jus too soft..
i only got the teins coz the RSR's were sagging at the back.. had it for 3yrs did 60000kms on it and never had a problem..
as for the 50mm drop be prepared to have ur heart teared unless if ur used to driving low cars then no problems.. if ur not then i would suggest to get used to 30-35mm drop then go to 50mm.. Thats wat i did to get my mrs used to the drop but still she tore my heart a couple of times scrapin the muffler..
cant really compare the factory setup.. to me the factory setup was not acceptable mainly coz of the height wise..
both the RSR and Tein makes the car feel more solid, tight and comfortable compared to factory..

    Cheers

BBK first, it will affect rim choice as you will find that you will be more restricted to full face rims rather than rims with dish.

LOL.. was thinkin if anyone would pick that up..!!
at first i jus cut everything except the intake pipe leaving a massive hole closed to the front of the pipe then i plastic welded it.. i was happy with it coz the car felt smoother and throttle was more responsive and was plannin to leave it that way..
until a frd came pass and said it looks S**T..!!
' it looks like some infection is growin on it..!! '
so i sanded it back down then got plastic putty to remould and shape it.. leave it to dry and repeat the sand, putty, moulding and shapin stage until it looked acceptable.. (it took me abt 5-6 goes before it look ok) waited for it to dry again then sanded it down till it was smooth and spray painted it..
    sounds abit confusing aye..!!
excuse the rough explaination pm me if ur interested to try it urself..

    Cheers
