    Removing Stock Dc2 Wing

I want to take off my stock wing on my VTi-R.

How do I get access to the wire running from the boot up into the wing itself? I'm guessing I have to remove the interior plasitics from the inside of the hatch, but has anyone done it and can give me a few pointers?

Easy rep here for clear, helpful answers

    Thanks!

I've never done it on a teggie plus mine has a DC2R wing but I'm assuming you take off the boot plastic which you would have to look upwards for when you open up the boot..

Most trims in hondas are just held on by clips, just don't pull TOO hard because you don't want to break a clip and make the already bad dc2 boot rattle worse.

Unscrew any screws u find holding the trim and and should be easy street from there, just remember there should be holes from the wing so make sure to fill them unless you want boot leak

^^^ as said above u need to pull on the interior panel. the clips will come undone. and then u need to unclick the break light wire/plug before removing the wing.

there is no screws on the upper boot panel

    few threads might help u

Ok guys, so I've finally gotten some spare time to fiddle around with this..

I've unclipped the interior plastics on the hatch, and I've found the wires running up into the wing. My question is, can I just disconnect them, or have I got to hook up the window brake light immediately? Is it safe to drive the car with this cable disconnected from either of the two brake lights?

Man I'd recommend to do it all in one go aye.. like take off the wing and reconnect everything to the 3rd brake light so you don't have to worry about it later on.. In Sydney, not sure of other states but I've heard its a defect/illegal to run a car without a 3rd brake light.. My mates been fined for it by a cop.. but I've never been pulled up on it though

Yeah man, went for a run through the hills the other day, and I really want to get the car sitting a lot flatter through the corners. Can't wait!

    What coils did you have?
