[CL9] HID fitment to standard euro

    Hi all,

I'm planning on fitting a HID conversion kit to my base model euro. Specifically, this kit from platnium visuals. http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...atinum-Visuals

Does anybody have any experience with this kit? Or can recommend something else?

I've read around that the back of the dust covers on the headlamp need to be cut to fit the HID kit.

Does this need to be done? Or is there a kit you can buy that will fit inside the heallamp?
How does the euro lux accomidate the HID kit into the headlamp? Can you purchase bigger rear dust covers from Honda to accomidate the larger HID lamp?

    Many thanks,

    Hey mate,

The link provided directs to a LED parker replacement guide. Maybe you posted the incorrect link by accident?

I'm talking about the H1 HID Conversion kit for base model euro's

Ok I'll go through simple steps...

    1) Remove dust covers and existing H1 light bulbs from your car.
    2) Cut a hole in your dust covers for the "rubber" things to sit in perfect.
    3) Locate a place to mount your ballasts, e.g. Under the headlight housing, on the side of the chassis, or under the fender (i can take a picture if you want)
    4) Put your HID bulbs in with the dust cover
    5) Mount your ballasts and connect the plugs.
    6) then kaching.

    I'll attach a diagram a bit later

Dont worry about drilling holes into the dust covers because they are easily replaceable. Regardless there is no way you can install HIDs without making a hole in the dust covers.

Here's a rough diagram, the red line is the power cable.

Thanks guys, A diagram would be great.

So, it looks like that i have to cut the dust covers. My main concern is the headlight fogging up issue. Also, i don't want dust to enter into the headlamp assembly.

From the sound of it, the 'rubber' things are like an o-ring that you insert into the cut section of the dust cover to create a seal?

Thanks for the diagram! Looks like i can seal the wiring with a o-ring then.

    Thanks again iLlousion10.

Has anybody has any experience with the particular HID kit i'm planning on fitting? Or does anybody recommend anything else?

The HID kit i had, the was a rubber seal where the dust cover hole is, so it fits snug in there.

    ALSO Post Quality ME!

    Bumping this back up!

So to mount the ballast, you have to drill a hole through the dust covers? How long is this installation process?
    Comment, rate my beats!
