Would like to know some 'Known' mechanics around the sydney area who are well priced and you would consider the best for the job? any refferals or suggestions?

also if any1 has done this service what did it set you back?

He always orders genuine stuff when replacing key fluids.

100k service should cost you 350-400 through F&E, I think that would include premium oil change (he gave me royal purple), honda oil filter, NKG Platinum Iridium Spark Plugs (he will recommend a flush of the trans oil if you have not done it in the last 20k's)....

Anyway his a good bloke, Mat, and he lets you watch him do all the work and chats to ya.

I did my CL9 100k service there (first service ever sincei bought the car) and it ran very smooth idles at 500-600rpm whereas b4 that it was idling at 900rpm...

I like visiting so if you want to be personally referred i can take you there That's how i got referred.

    Let me know.

every 40k service is a major one and should expect >$500.

always go to a reputable place, some places do cost a lot less but they may use the cheapest oil, skip some checks, etc etc... or might even recommend you to have something fixed although unnecessary (ever seen a Pedders dodgy at Current Affair?).

i think $731 sounds about right, but shop around you should be able to find cheaper prices

you'd be shocked if you hear how much a major service costs for a BMW / VW / Merc / Lexus. The DSG transmission oil alone for VW costs >$100!! 5L of the Castrol SLX Professional Longlife III costs around $100!
