    DC2R hydrolock issue..

Okay I was wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to the issue of hydro lock presented when using an injen CAI other than just buying the hydro shield pre-filter..??

The idea of hydro lock has been planted in my head and would like to find a method that someone may have implemented to give piece of mind and provide better protection against hydro lock.

    all ideas welcome..

    thankyou

Buy that filter and dont thrash the car in the rain.

the weather in QLD has been shit lately, floods everywhere and most roads have some massive puddles. have gone through them all, no problems with the injen cai

trick is, don't thrash it in the rain.

just dont drive when its wet

    pretty simple

or get rid off it it its going to do something bad to your car

or put a raincoat on it when it rains

    Lol yeah ok...

Why do they make them then? If it's raining for 2 weeks straight your not going anywhere.

The chances of hydrolock are slim.. And if there is such a high chance then you don't buy them

    Stock intake for me ftw

Your not going to get hydrolock unless you submerge the filter, that is if your driving through half a meter of water. If your doing that then your just asking for it. That or if your not running your inner guard and water is being pumped on to your filter. Where the filter is placed it is enclosed, and small amounts of water on it will make no difference.
