03 CL9 Audio Issues

hey all..

so today my euro decided it wanted to play a little game of "now you hear it, now you dont"...
at first it seemed like the power was just shorting out to the head unit (which is a problem in itself)... but then i witnessed the volume turn down then all the way up again all by itself.. no power was lost... it just turned it down and then up again...
but i would say in my 30 minute drive today in which it started playing this little game it would have cut off or turned down at least 10 times...

anyone have any suggestions or had a similar issue?

I'm pretty sure it's a common problem with CL9 headunits. Mine does it now and then too.
Since a new headunit will cost a fair bit, I'm planning on getting one of the ipod/aux connectors instead.
