    it just ensures its gonna do its job properly. Easier to put on aswell.
    Some people pour oil into the filter too, it up to you really. when your finished just let the car run for a a couple secs allowing the oil to go through the new filter

    i normally let the car run for like 5 minutes after the oil chane, during this don't touch the throttle at all

    5-10 seconds is usually ample time to let the oil circulate thru-out the engine and filter.
