Eg Civic aircon. Anyone find them abit Weak on hot days?

At least you guys have aircon...

My EG has an awesome fan only unit that specialises in recirculating and blowing hot air back in your face.

I wonder how much it costs to get an aircon setup installed...hmm...

can grab a whole aircon setup for 100 or so from the wreckers

i find that when i have 3 passengers, it takes even longer to get cold, if at all.

must be an eg thing...

Hot day today here in Sydney 40 degrees. Did all the wind down windows thing and recirc etc. Aircon on EG hondas suck. Seriously.

yeh i get the same thing, takes 4ever 2 cool the cabin n i hav tinted windows, i thought i was the only 1 that has this problem but i guess not, the eg a/c really does blow, lol. also i get that hesitation/laggy on low rpms when you accelerating when the aircon is on. it must sux alot of power. im runnin a b16 too

It's only gonna get hotter tomorrow...I dunno how im gonna last in my eg with no aircon.

I'm already looking up info on whats needed for an aircon install and how much its gonna set me back altogether, i don't know enough to install it myself.

Brother buy this car and take the aircon parts from it. Atleast you will have everything you need

Dont put up with no aircon. Driver fatigue and safety and ofcourse your general comfort!

i have 6 eg and eh civics now every single one had weak air con but a mate of mine also has an eg his a/c is awesome i think its luck of the draw

Yeah, family friend has an eh civic and last time we were in it the a/c in it was icy cold to the point where we had to turn it down a few notches cause my face was getting numb.

maybe its the compressors on our egs.. theyre weak..

Out here in west syd.. Apparently its gna be 42degrees tomorrow.. Much worse than today.. Its gna be a humid day with not much breeze..

Well at least the eg still has aircon.. Better than nothing.. I guess

its probably because the compressors are getting old and worn out, typical for a car 15yrs plus

Grifty I would agree but I seen old Camrys and Corollas with ice cold aircons of the same vintage. Who knows.

Today was bloody hot. 20 minute drive the aircon took ages and even then just cool.
