    Thumbs up factory air box

just some thing small but i was reading a post on s2ki.com about if removing the cover of the airbox gave any power so i was bord at work and put the car on the dyno to see if it did make any change before i removed the lid it made 170hpatw after i took it off it made 174.4hpatw so yes it does give a small gain thought i would share it with you guys

Actually quite decent, considering it's not really a modification. In theory the freer it flows the better it's just the damn heat which spoils it

Hood up or down? If it was up with a fan blowing over it - lol!

I've always noticed a pretty big loss of power with the lid off, especially at low speeds with all the heatsoak.

Before I got an intake system, I would take the lid off from time to time and it would sound alot better but I always noticed a slight loss of power ass well from the heat soak. I guess road conditions and dyno conditions always vary though.

yep with the bonnet up, would obviously not suffer from heat issues.
