    Question QUESTION of 2 speakers and 1 sub with 4 ch amp??????

    hi guys
    want to get some help pls
    just got some new gear and try to install today
    new head unit, 4 ch amp and sub
    old front speakers and rear 6x9 speakers

    planning to connent the 4 ch amp with those front speakers and sub

    problem is cant get the amp work with this setting i did try many times

    if took the amp out just connent with the headunit and 4 speaker will working fine

    now just wondering any one have any idea what happen ? or any one can point out how to connent the 4 ch amp with front speaker and sub ?

    How did you connect the audio inputs?did you use the four channels? Cause if your running rca cables from the unit you should have 4 channels and it will work fine. Depends on how many audio output your unit has, Double check the polarity. Usually 1&2 channels are the ones you use for your front speakers and the 3 channel is for your subs. Specify your specs regarding amp power and speakers. Hope it helps

    power cable from battery to amp
    remote cable from headunit to amp
    ground cable from amp to ground chassis
    headunit ->RCA cables ->AMP(Front ch) ->speakers
    headunit ->RCA cables ->AMP(Rear ch) ->sub

    Am i right ???
    this is my frist time try to DIY the sound system i am noob.

    if i done it right then may be the amp faulty because no power for the amp

    Your right if theres no power that means your amp is faulty, do you have power indicator on your amp? Is it lighting up?did you bought it brand new? Just be careful not to mess up with the positive wire just take off the fuse everytime you do something on the amp!!

    could be in safe mode, is your earth on BARE metal? did you sandpaper the paint away?

    bought the headunit and amp from brand new
    today i did try again after off
    found out the problem was from the power cable
    i use the matter to check it only have 5 v or less power comes out (dont know why)
    then change my friend's power cable to test it with sup its works fine
    so tomorrow or weekend will buy the new wire kit try again
    thanks for help guys
    if still have problem will ask again
