Will an RSX starter motor fit a DC5 Type R ??

My starter is on its way out and im looking for a replacement. Ive seen heaps of cheap reconditioned starters on ebay U.S but there all for a RSXS so im just wondering if it would fit onto my DC5R as it would be a cheaper alternative than getting a new one from Honda or getting it rebuilt. I also cant seem to find the part number for it ?? any help much appreciated.

The starter motor of our AUDM DC5R is the same as US RSX Type-S. It must be from the RSX-S, as their base RSX starter will not fit our DC5R. I ordered mine from oemacuraparts.com. Link below:

    http://www.oemacuraparts.com/find-pa...20%28TYPE-S%29

    Part number: 31200-PRB-A11 (DSDHL) (DENSO)

IMO it's not worth rebuilding/reconditioned, might as well get a new one. Definitely don't order from Honda Australia, it will cost you an arm and a leg. Order from oemacuraparts and pay just a 1/3 of the cost.

I only just realised now I'm replying to an ancient thread LOL silly me
