    Changing EK4 ECU - from P72 to P2T

Hey guys, I recently bought a 96 EK4 which is supposed to have a P2T ecu. But it has a P72 ECU which I was told is from a DC2R. Vtec currently hits at 4500 but it starts to pull harder at 5500. Saw somewhere that this could be because DC2R's have 2 butterfly valves. Currently the car chews fuel (350km to a $70 full tank). I have found a P2T ecu out of an EK4, but I just want to know will it be a straight plug and play? Or will I need to get it programmed. Also will this be better for the car and will I notice an increase n power? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I thought you can't program/tune standard ECU's ?

P72 is the dc2 vtir , which yes has dual runners and hence a audible difference in revs and again when vtec engages. This is only relevant , IF your car has a
B18c2 engine in it ! If its a b16a2 or even a b18c or b18c7 this is not the correct ecu
Tell us the engine code ( found on the engine block just near the clutch slave cylinder)

thanks guys.. it's a b16a2. Can you please send me the link for the DIY TODA? I can't seem to find it. Thanx

Also, I have bought the new P2T ECU now, so what steps do I have to take when installing in into my EK4?

And does anyone know when vtec engages and cuts out on this ECU?

Replace the aftermarket injectors with OEM injectors & check function of O2 sensor.
Or, get a programable aftermarket ECU & have it tuned to suit the aftermarket injectors.
