    rattling from exhaut

hey guys driving home today i started to hear a slight rattle coming from the front of the car. couple hours later it got pretty loud just trying to take off in first.

left it in nertual and slowly accelerating. i found/ think the noise is coming from the cat.
is it possiable the cat colapsed itself?

    Hi mate,

There's a similar thread to this on the second page of the Noob Section. Quite a few posts there so I suggest you check it out.

Otherwise yes, it's very possible the cat has crapped itself on the inside. Try jacking the car up (on jack stands of course), cover the cat with a rag and give it a few moderate belts with a hammer to see if you can isolate the rattling sound. Also check your exhaust hangers and heat shields, and also the muffler as that can crap itself internally too.
