K24 Rwd Lotus 7 replica build

    I am putting a K24 into a Lotus 7 replica.

I am using a supra W series transmission with a cast bell housing with a 4.1 sierra cosworth diff.

The frame is a McGregor Motorsport custom chassis.

Engine was built for me by Car Aid in Christchurch.

    Oversize wiseco pistons 13-1 comp
    Eagle Rods
    Cometic gaskets
    ARP bolts all round
    OBX quad Itb's
    Evo 450 injectors
    Link G4 ecu

So after enduring 2 earthquakes and having to fix my workshop twice I have finally made some progress.

I had the bellhousing pattern machined after I did the CAD drawing and afetr some minor adjustments I got it right.

Then off to the foundry to cast the 1st item. This took about 10 days and then I took it for the CnC machining at a mates place.

The final item looked great and fitted perfectly.

I then fit the motor into a frame and I was happy with the result.

I have some more work to do but in principle it will work and now I can concerntrate on building the car.

I have few other projects on the go as I am restoring 2 vintage race cars so progress will be a bit slow but I have to pay the bills first.

    Here are some pics.

Any reason why you turned the OBX ITB's the other way? Clearance issue with your chassis?

All i can say is WOW!!!!! can i ask, what gear box and bell housing did u use to mate to the K24? Ive always wondered if it was possible to make the K24 RWD platform, but would seem very costly! U seem to make it seem more doable

Ive always wanted to go from Cad to casting the real thing, u sir, hats off to you!

    Cant wait till its finished
