    Upgrade ED alternator

    Hey people.

Just wondering if there is a alt that is a straight bolt up to the D15b4 motor ? cause the current one doesn't put out enough amps for my aplication. Would any say a Alt from another bigger D series motor fit ? or what ?

i don't wanna have my alt rewound, because i would need more power then what the stock can put out without going to some expensive after market alt lol.

    cheers

Any alternator from any D series motor will be fine.

Get a decent battery. My old ed never had a prob and I had about the same power draw. I was using an optima d31m

Sent from my custard cannon like Peter North.

    LOL that alot of amps
    i got few ideas
1- Talk to auto elec about getting your current ED alternator re wired of alternator for higher amp output
2- Run a second Big output amp alternator in place of Power steer or A/c compresser on custom mount pulley setup
3- run both the re wired ED alternator and the 2nd higher output alternator

i would throw away the A/c system first over the power steer but that me
If you see a good Technical post giving advice give some postive rep

Nah just 3 amps lol just a small 2ch amp, small 4ch amp and 1 big mono block.

    Oh that's a good idea. i don't really need a/c to be honest. that's a good idea.
