Will oil filters from overseas fit my civic ?

I have a 2008 civic vti and my brother from america said he will send me some oem honda 2008 civic filters. My question is are the engines the same considering civics in the usa are made in usa and our hondas are made in thailand ? Does anyone know what the honda oem part number for a 2008 civic oil filter is so that I can send him ? Or any aftermarket filter part number you know (purolator, wix, pureone, fram) that will fit my 2008 civic vti ?

afaik, all honda's use the same oil filters, even imported/overseas ones. All oem ones are the same size.

Aftermarket honda filter number is z79a.
