    Glove box light

At night you can see through a very small gap that my glove box light on my CL9 is always on. Is this normal or should it be off when it's closed?

Also, what bulb type is the light in there, it doesn't say in the bulb types thread?

    Thanks

There's no glovebox light switch on our cars, so our glovebox lights stay permanently on whenever the parkers/headlights are on. I can also see the light through the gap on mine!

Off the top of my head, the glovebox light is a 168, a low power (3.8W) version of the 194 (or W5W) used in our parkers.

If the glovebox light ticks you off, imagine the cigarette lighter light! oops.....
