    FD1 BC Type BR Squeaking

Hi guys hoping someone can help.

I bought a second hand set of BC Type BR coilovers from overseas and got my mechanic to install it. When I first got it back it has an irritating creaking almost squeaking sound from the front suspension. I got him to lubricate the pillow mount but the sound is still there. He has suggested that it might be the dampeners on it's last legs.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and know of a way to fix it or diagnose the actual problem? In fact anyone know where I can bring my car to in WA that can tell me the actual problem?

I'm just trying to see if anything else can be done before I go ahead and buy replacement dampeners.

    Thanks

    squeaking when?

Suspension will squeak sometimes when they're all full compression. So if you can, you may want to adjust the dampening to make them stiffer. If you're baller-low then you're bound to squeak a little over time.

If they're just squeaking all the time and not just over severe bumps then it's most likely go to do with either the bolts not being done up tight enough - in which case you would also get a bit of play in the suspension, and consequently some clunks too.

The last case is the worst scenario and that would be that the shocks are on their last legs, however I would expect them to be leaking a little if they're dead..

    Hope that helps

It squeaks like 2 rubber mice humping when I go slow over rough surfaces or slightly uneven surfaces.

Current height is 1 finger gap all round, not baller-low.

I intend to send the car to a suspension specialist, but just wondering if anyone had any experience to share before I spend the money.
