installing a turner view 1 in the front middle air vents

hey guys i just purchased a tunerview for all who dont know what it is....
    http://www.hrtuning.com/pages/category/tunerviewrd1

where i was thinking of mounting it was in the middle air vents as ive removed my air con anyway and rarly use the heater and if i do its on the feet anyway.

i was thinking of using a cardboard template and cutting into the vent and maybe building it up with fiber glass sheets.

i want to make it look clean and tidy as possible. even if someone knows where i can take it to get done.

anyone got ideas or better suggestions. i was even thinking sun visor or making a box for it and mounting it on the dash in the middle or on top of the steering column in front of the cluster

i dont really want to mount it in my cluster.

thanks in advance and i shall post pics when im installing/building it Alessio

so u wanna install a stack dash in the middle of the car, yet retain the oem dash cluster?

kinda defeats the purpose of a stack dash LOL....

but any ways.... if u got time, patient, good with working with fibreglass, than it should be a breeze

Look at the R34 GTR, perfect example imo

Hey man thanks for the post. It's not to replace my cluster it's so I don't have to have 15 gauges.

I'll look into the gtr one.
    Thanks man

i used poly carb plastic, bought from bunnings and put it on my EK.
its very easy to cut but also if u heat it up to much (by electric Saw) it will melt.

ive got 2 RD1 in my EK, 1 as a cluster and the other as my Temp guages.

not yet, but what i have is not really what ur looking for as mine is a race car and its in a box facing towards the driver seat.

but the way i did it was find out the size of the RD1 and the size of the vents.
buy ur plastic and cut to size of the vents, then cut the plastic to fit the RD1.
then use small L brackets (or straight Brackets) and use screws or bolts to hold them into place. to make it sit flush u might want to find a rubber seal to make it look nice.
