    Auto to manual conversion

    Hi guys

my bro jsut got his conversion done from an auto d16 to a manual b18cr in an eg.
The problem is when the car is parked and gear 1 is in and if the car is started the car goes/drives. I thought it should stored if you dont step on the clutch.

    any help?

    Ps..

don't farkn want him smashing my garage as he parks there everyday, he won't find out what is wrong if it ...lazy cant

the clutch switch you talk about wasn't found on local EGs. I believe it was USDM only.

So yes. the car will jolt forward if its in 1st gear. How close is he parking to your garage???

tell your brother to learn how to drive / start a manual car. Neutral, and clutch in before cranking. Thats manual driving 101

Its not hard to wire one up. Get a brake light switch, attach to the clutch pedal, then run that to a relay, and have it in between an ignition wire.

Sent from my custard cannon like Peter North.
