    Dc2 vti-r brakes on stock eg wheels

    Hi guys, as above I have a set of dc2 vtir brakes id like to put on my eg with stock 14" vti alloys. I believe the discs are 262mm (same as eg vti) so in theory they should clear. I'm just wondering about the calipers if they clear. These are the wheels

    Do you happen to know if I need to change the knuckles to fit the new calipers? My eg is a breeze fronts atm are the 242mm

    Can ek1/Ek4 brakes be used on eg?

    But the parts include bmc (15/16)+booster, knuckles and calipers+rotors 262mm

    I already got the vtir brakes though, I'd say any setup with bigger disc also needs bigger knuckle to space out the caliper further. Do you still have any parts off that dc2?

    @mugen_ctr: yes they can. but.

    i just installed the brakes off an ek4 on my eg8. You need to have entire rear trailing assembly with handbrake cables off the ek. Also, you need the knuckles, rotors and calipers and brake lines off the front and its a fairly straight forward swap... if you can get balljoints apart intact. oh and yea the booster and mc too.

    apologies for taking this off topic.

    oh and the ek4 brakes will JUST fit under 14" wheels.

    I'm pretty sure that's exactly the same parts required for dc2 vtir upgrade front and rear. Which is better?

    cheers man, i was only talking in reference to the fronts lol, but hey it answered it, maybe i can convince my mate to buy my setup in the near future if i decided to go for 282mm setup

    Honestly from what I've heard bigger discs aren't that important to a brake upgrade. Especially only a 20mm jump in size. If I didn't get these brakes for free I'd just run eg vti's on my eg with good pads. Slotted discs and braided lines
