    Removing gear knob

    Hey guys,
This might sound really stupid, but my gear knob doesnt wanna come off.
Its a DC2R, the bolt at the bottom has been missing since i bought the car 2 years ago, so the actual knob is twisted right to the bottom. It may be threaded..

Has anyone ever had this problem, any ideas i could use to get the knob off?

I think you have to spin the knob to take it Out, like you taking a screw. That how my civic but also intgra should be the same

Wrap a hand towel around it , then twist this towel over a couple of times to "grip" the gearknob without damaging the surface. You should be able to grip it and twist it slowly off !
Otherwise you might have to damage the knobs surface removing it with more force.

Make sure you are rotating it the right way too ! Sitting in your seat - turn it counter clockwise to undo :-)

Try a moist towel around the gear knob and then put a shifter or clamp or something real tight like that with some leverage, if you can just un-nip it, it should be fine after.

    Best of luck!

You can always drill it off! :P
