    DC2R Rear Bumper Reinforcing

    Hi All,

Decided to fix my saggy rear bar on my DC2R, But I have a question..

Isn't there supposed to be another reinforcing bar behind it?

    Heres mine,

And here is one thanks to Team Integra.net

Any ideas? and if I am supposed to have one, does anyone have one for sale? (if this is the wrong place to ask, I will add to my plastic bits thread

    my plastic bits needed thread

    Cheers

yea there is suppose to be a rear reinforcement bar.
4 massive bolts, 2 bolts per side.

you should see 4 holes in your spare wheel well.

edit: ^ really? im pretty sure my wreck had it when i removed the rear bar.
you make me doubt myself now -__-

So if I cop a hit up the rear, theres nothing to stop it, just the rear metalwork of the car? My wifes 94 EG sedan has one, and seeing as i regularly have my daughter riding in a booster seat in the back, want to make sure i have enough impact protection. Anyone have a tech manual drawing?

common reason not to have one - is a previous greedy repairer took the $$$ for including this part - but obviously did not.

Hey Gambate, thanks for the awesome diagram, so it looks like a Type R doesnt have it at all? thats amazing, as the plastic wont stop anything from seriously deforming the rear, but I guess Honda would not do it if its unsafe. I will be easy to spot at the Honda Nationals then, I will be lying down on the ground looking under everyones DC2R's to confirm hahaha
