No worries Zic,
Yeah, if he downloads v1.5 then goes through (Help) then (Check for updates) it'll automaticlly download the latest version.
& there's a Beta version of 3.0.3.0 out now also,
You get this through - Options ~ Settings / General - Automatic updates - check "include beta software versions"
After that, the only thing he'll need to do is be sure to erase the ECU 1st before uploading the 3.0
This generally solves most issues

We had another laptop with updated software on it. loaded the map and the car doesnt start.. (unsure if it was 3.0 or 3.0.3)
hence the reason we used his laptop (with older software on it and loaded the map again. car starts but limiter on 5500rpm.

we'll have a play around with it again soon
