Hey guys, looking for the lights that are like those on the Lexus. How they have a hint of blue in them when you look at them, but the lights themselves aren't actually blue. Asking cos I just came back from autobarn, with some blue lights, and their the illegal blue type, tried them in, too blue. The lights are clearly blue when you look at them, and they make the road and everything in the path nothing but blue.

You need to upgrade to HID... no easy task if you want your car to stay roadworthy. Easier if you have access to a Lux for parts or to drive instead :P

Don't think the Lux HID had blue tint in them though.

Get a hid kit from ebay for 48 bux and install it! Also get 6000+ globes that way they have a hint of blue?

iirc it comes with 4300k bulbs, thats more towards the yellowish side. As said above 6000 would start to give a hint of blue.

Hmm, well as I said. I've got some 8000k bulbs now, way too blue. The actual light is blue. I guess 6000k would be a whiter colour, I could give that a try. But yeah, my current bulbs (non HID) look white enough. Something like this?

It has to be ADR approved... if your globe doesn't brag that it has ADR approval your car will be unroadworthy if you use it.

Also HID kits will more than likely make your car unroadworthy as you need to have things like self-levellers, headlight washers etc installed - there is a separate ADR for HID lights that you need to comply with.

Yeah, figured going HID would give a headache, which is why I'm sticking with halogen. Just wondering if 7000k would be illegal as it's being sold in forums
