    Civic help please (EG)

    Hey guys,
going to be purchasing a EG Civic GLI soon... Car has 170,000km on it, interior is VERY clean.. Gearbox is being changed over prior to sale as it's stuffed...

My mate is asking for $4,000 with roady done.
Do you think it's a fair deal or no good?

Answers would be great! Thank you!

This isn't on carsales, so don't go lookin for it. It's private =)

Am yet to see a clean example of a VTI tbh. Seen a few nice modified VTI's but no stock VTI's at that price to be honest.

try 3.5k if you liked the car, also if you buy the car from your friend, so do not blame him if something goes wrong.

    ^^ never would.
Thats the risk you take in buying a car.

i think 4K is reasonable, try go a bit lower (for your sake) but if your mate's not willing to neg price then 4 would still be ok, i picked up my Si for 4.8, not in the best condition though :/

I bought my Si, 170k's, with RWC and 6 month rego for 3.3k. Clean as. So for 4k, i would say that a GLi is not worth it.

i bought my vti for 4.450$ 161xxx 2 months rego interior clean as **** exterior wasnt the best, such as bumper and few scratches here and there, engine still strong,
so i guess its up to you 4k, though you can get a b16 eg for little more. 5.5k maybe with some work needed.
i kind of regret my buy though it is my first car and now im loving it
    gl with decision.
