Might have some issues with the drive by wire aswell.

Fd2 comes equipped with k20z2 and needs only basic breathing mods for a pretty good daily. Rather than spend so much on a Frankenstein swap consider a turbo setup. That's the path im going down!
i live my life full boost, one gear at a time.

I remember I had an FD2 and I wanted to put this K series frank engine made by Dr Honda. They guy selling it was helping me and said it the dive by wire would be the biggest issue and I'd be spending bucket loads. I think all the newer K24's are drive by wire. Depends which one you get.

if you were to perform a k20/k24 swap in the fd2, would you lose VSA and cruise controll?
and i pretty sure the k24a3 in the accord euro uses drive by wire.

best bet is to use a k24 out of a newer euro. firstly because it would get around the drive by wire issue and secondly, in order to have the car road legal and registered, the engine must be newer than the chassis.

just use an intake manifold with a DBW TB and you'll be fine, wont loose any feature at all.

The frankenstien swap would be too hard i reckon. If you're willing to pioneer though, please do.

IMO would be easier than running high boost.

what about getting a k20z4 head on a k20z2? is that even possible?

    or a k20a head?
